The National Union of Food Delivery Riders or Riders-Sentro is calling for public understanding of the heavy risks faced by delivery riders every day.
Geoffrey Labudahon of the group said it is disheartening that riders’ lives are in serious danger because of rising crime incidents while they struggle to earn for their families.
He explained that riders cannot easily decline bookings since this affects their acceptance rate and daily income.
While facing safety concerns, Labudahon appealed to the public to respect and protect riders who endure hardships on the streets.
