Cagayan de Oro City ABC President and Gusa Barangay Captain Marlo Tabac announced that legislative measures extending barangay official terms to five years have passed both houses of Congress and await executive action.
Tabac explained that the proposed term adjustment directly postpones the scheduled local elections. He noted that the Commission on Elections is expected to issue a revised administrative calendar upon executive approval.
