Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB-10) Assistant Regional Director Mohammad Hajam Sarip informed the Cagayan de Oro City Council that Green GSM Taxis are currently unauthorized to collect fares or operate commercially within the city.
Sarip clarified that the vehicles are only permitted to conduct route mapping and road assessments pending official franchise approval.
City officials warned that operators conducting unauthorized passenger pickups face impoundment and administrative fines for non-compliance with local business permit and tax regulations.
