CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – A thirty-seven-year-old husband died after shooting himself due to intense jealousy.
Valencia City PNP, identified the suspect as Ramonito Tumulac, married and a resident of Mailag, Valencia City Bukidnon.
According to the report, the suspect took his 7-year-old son hostage, while arguing with his wife, Ivy Lou, a teacher at Valencia City National High School.
The police stated that the hostage-taking would have been relieved when the Officer of Barangay Purok-18 Badong-Badong Mailag settled the tension between the couple and the child was saved.
However, a few minutes after the settlement, the lady suddenly returned inside the residence and shot by her husband in the head.
After seeing that his wife was bleeding, he immediately shot himself in the head.
The suspect was brought dead to the hospital and the condition of the lady is critical, who continues to receive treatment at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, in this city.
The Valencia PNP is still studying the true motive of the incident.
