Ben Ranque, founding convenor of the Masa Sara Duterte Alliance, expressed his observation about the shift in position of some senators such as Senator Chiz Escudero and Senator Joel Villanueva after the Senate leadership change.
According to Ranque, the silence and compliance of these senators with the new majority is the result of fear and intimidation.
He said that those behind the new leadership used cases against these officials to force them to follow their plan.
Because of this, Ranque emphasized that these actions are deliberate moves to prevent the possible impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.
He stressed that the surrender of some senators only shows the intense pressure they are facing in the current political situation.
