Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy announced a renewed push for road clearing operations across Cagayan de Oro pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circulars, aiming to relieve heavy traffic caused by vehicles using public roads as parking spaces.
Mayor Uy requested full support from the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA), the Regulatory and Complaint Board (RCB), and Liga ng mga Barangay President Councilor Marlo Tabac to ensure swift execution in every barangay.
Furthermore, coordination with COCPO City Police Director Col. Dexter Paje is being finalized to deploy police escorts whenever field teams encounter resistance. The mayor reiterated that community-wide cooperation is essential to keep the city’s roadways safe and accessible.
