Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy assured local agricultural workers that farmers and fisherfolk will not be sidelined as the city continues its rapid urbanization.
Speaking at the opening of the “Fiesta sa Kaumahan” during the Higalaay Festival, Mayor Uy emphasized that his administration will not abandon the sectors responsible for feeding the community.
He noted that true urban progress cannot be achieved if foundational sectors are ignored, expressing his gratitude to farmers and fisherfolk for their ongoing contributions to local food security.
