Nick Jabagat, Manager of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD), confirmed that only minor damage was reported in several structures following the intensity 3 earthquake felt in the city the other day.

He clarified that the observed hairline cracks were limited to walls, with no serious damage found in building posts or columns.

While strict monitoring continues, Jabagat announced that bridges, schools, and hospitals have already been inspected by members of the City Engineering Office.

The official assured the public that the buildings remain safe to use or occupy, though proper repairs are needed to ease public concern.

Finally, Jabagat called on private establishments to submit reports on the condition of their respective structures as part of protocol.
