“Moreno Slams Uy’s Budget Proposal”
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – Former City Mayor Oscar Moreno fiercely criticizes incumbent City Mayor Rolando Uy’s proposal for an 8.8 billion peso budget for 2025, labeling it as a “bloated budget”.
He said that the budget proposal is designed to unjustly inflate Uy’s confidential funds to 280 million pesos.
Moreno condemns the inclusion of PhilHealth’s income as a source of revenue.
He argues that this special fund is being manipulated without sufficient justification.
He denounces the proposal as a blatant theft of public funds, and making the budget both unrealistic and a significant misuse of taxpayer money.
“It has reached the point of becoming deceptive” Moreno adds.
