The National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) warned of potential severe economic impacts on regional families following the impending privatization of the Agus-Pulangi Power Complex.

NAPC OIC-Assistant Secretary Ana C. Cañeda emphasized the need to assess how energy privatization will affect marginalized and vulnerable communities.

During a multi-agency coordination meeting, officials also outlined interventions for youth education in observance of Child Literacy Week.

Consequently, the agency reiterated its appeal for sustained government action to protect child rights and support low-income households.
