The Hospital Pharmacy at Cagayan de Oro City Hospital-Lumbia was formally opened to the public on Wednesday, June 17, to improve access to essential medicines, especially for those in upland areas.

Mayor Rolando Klarex Uy led the opening alongside Chief of Hospital Ferdinand Miranda, other hospital officials, and local residents.

Medicines at the facility are free as long as stocks are available and patients present a prescription following required procedures.

Dr. Miranda explained that the pharmacy’s opening is part of preparations for upgrading the hospital from infirmary to Level 1 status.

The pharmacy is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on holidays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
