The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) assured that its transmission network remains operational and prepared to balance electricity supply and demand across Mindanao during peak heat periods.
NGCP Mindanao Spokesperson Mae Roselle Curiano stated that the grid operator maintains continuous coordination with the Department of Energy, power generators, and distribution utilities.
Addressing power outage concerns, Curiano clarified that NGCP transmits power generated by independent power plants rather than generating electricity directly, committing to uninterrupted transmission service.
