Nestor Mesias Banuag Jr., Director of the Social Involvement and Advocacy Program at Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, clarified that the “Dapat Isa Lang” People’s Initiative is a non-partisan effort rather than an attack on specific political families or factions.
During the campaign’s local relaunch, Banuag explained that organizers in Cagayan de Oro aim to gather signatures from at least 3 percent of registered voters in each legislative district as part of the broader national goal of 7.5 million signatures required for a constitutional referendum.
