Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) President Dr. Gerry J. Caño voiced support for the use of transparent bags among students, noting that it enhances school security.
According to Caño, if implemented, the government and parents must provide alternatives for families facing financial difficulties in purchasing them.
He also directed criticism at Parents and Teachers Associations (PTA) regarding student safety and security, emphasizing that it should be every parent’s top priority.
The official hopes the initiative receives proper attention to assist teachers and schools in safeguarding the youth’s future.
