The Philippine Army assured the public that ballot counting for the inaugural Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections remains secure and immune to tampering.

Philippine Army Spokesperson Colonel Louie Dema-ala stated that under an agreement approved by COMELEC and participating political parties, ballot boxes were safely transported from municipal centers to the 6th Infantry Division headquarters at Camp Siongco in Cotabato for centralized counting.

Dema-ala confirmed that Armed Forces of the Philippines units remain on high alert to preserve electoral integrity and safeguard the regional vote.
