The PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority has identified the continuous surge in local and foreign businesses in Misamis Oriental as a major infrastructure challenge.
According to PHIVIDEC Administrator and CEO Atty. Joseph Donato Bernedo, 68 companies are currently operating within the facility, 14 of which are foreign while the majority are local investors.
In response, the official urged the local government to catch up and accelerate the development of surrounding roads and bridges.
Bernedo warned that prospective investors’ interest might decline if traffic congestion is not addressed immediately, but the leadership assured that coordination will continue to ensure smooth business operations in the region.
