The police believe that not only can lives be saved, but many incidents can be prevented if victims or witnesses of bullying report these cases to their teachers, who can then refer them to authorities.
PRO-10 Spokesperson PMAJ Joann Navarro confirmed that, based on their data on bullying cases in the region, many were resolved early through timely reporting to authorities.
In response, the office strictly implements school visitations and lectures to ensure that students are aware of their rights and the proper reporting process.
Navarro emphasized that cooperation among victims, teachers, and police is key to achieving justice and providing adequate protection for children.
Because of this, the police encourage the public—especially students—not to hesitate in informing their teachers if they experience or witness any form of bullying or violent acts.
