Police Patrolman Peter Jhon Edio, 34, lost his life in a motorcycle accident inside Gran Europa Subdivision in Barangay Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City, on Sunday afternoon, June 14, 2026.
Initial police reports stated that the victim’s motorcycle tire hit the cemented portion of the center island, causing him to lose control and crash into a tree.
Despite the quick response of rescue teams and his immediate transport to St. Francis Hospital, doctors declared him dead due to severe head and body injuries.
PRO-10 spokesperson PMAJ Joann Navarro said that authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
The office is still awaiting a more detailed report from traffic investigators regarding the tragic accident.
