Cagayan de Oro City ABC President and Gusa Barangay Captain Marlo Tabac directly expressed that he favors holding the scheduled elections rather than pushing for another postponement.
The official explained that he deeply respects the public’s right to choose and express their voice through voting.
Tabac added that although his tenure in the barangay has reached 15 years due to successive postponements exceeding the standard 9-year limit, he is fully prepared to give others the opportunity to serve.
Therefore, despite many city captains favoring a term extension, he emphasized that the democratic will of the majority should prevail.
