“This is a good sign!” said Dr. Ronald L. Adamat, Chairman of Volunteer Individuals for Peace, after observing that the second day of the pre-trial of the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte went smoothly.

He noted that there were no heated arguments between the prosecution and defense panels during the Senate proceedings.

Dr. Adamat emphasized that their group, along with more than 32 million Filipinos, hopes the Vice President will be exonerated.

In his view, this is merely a form of political persecution, but they remain hopeful that sooner or later it will be determined whether there is sufficient evidence against her.
