“Chill lang” and refusing to join the protests in the capital, the Partidong Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) Laban group monitored the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. last Monday.

According to Coco Naik, Chairperson of the PDP Laban Migrant Workers Committee, they simply allowed the President to air his repeated false claims and promises to the country while they observed.

Naik added that the President still failed to tackle what they wanted to hear because he dodged the issue of corruption.

The group stressed that the issue should have been confronted and held accountable, yet the President once again failed to provide long-awaited information regarding the status of the investigation into the country’s massive flood control scandal.
