Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Eric Salcedo confirmed that the ongoing dry-run for provincial public utility vehicle (PUV) routes has achieved its goal of easing heavy traffic congestion along C.M. Recto Avenue.
Salcedo shared that the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) is continuously gathering commuter feedback from provincial passengers to refine transit operations.
Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy approved the month-long dry run, after which the RTA will submit its final policy recommendations to the city council.
Salcedo requested affected commuters to remain patient while the final parameters of the transport ordinance are finalized.
