Cagayan de Oro First Taxi Drivers Association (CAFITADA) President Bernie Jamaca announced that the local taxi flag-down rate has been adjusted to ₱65 to help drivers offset fuel prices exceeding ₱90 per liter.
Jamaca clarified that the distance rate of ₱13.50 per succeeding kilometer and the ₱2.00 per-minute waiting time remain unchanged.
He advised passengers to verify whether taxi meters reflect a base reading of ₱40 or ₱50 to add the correct provisional surcharge of ₱25 or ₱15, respectively.
