Datu Tokz Bin Abdurrahman of the Save Bangsamoro Movement called on the Supreme Court to immediately release its decision regarding pending petitions before the upcoming Bangsamoro Parliament elections.
He emphasized that there are complaints about the Bangsamoro Autonomy Act 86, which is believed to contain elements of “gerrymandering” or questionable redistricting to control voters.
Abdurrahman stressed that a clear resolution is crucial to ensure credible election results and to avoid further court cases after voting.
He also noted that stakeholders have raised concerns about certain provisions in the revised electoral code of the region.
Their group hopes these issues will be clarified to preserve the integrity of the democratic process in BARMM.
