The search and rescue operation is ongoing for 31-year-old Alkharj Gomez Zamayla, who was reported missing while hiking at Mt. Kalatungan in Pangantucan, Bukidnon.
According to the Police Regional Office 10, Zamayla was last seen near a river close to the 1st Camp on June 12, 2026.
The ground search is being conducted by the Pangantucan Rescue Team, volunteer tour guides, and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office.
To ensure the safety of the operation, personnel from the Pangantucan Municipal Police Station and the 1004th Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 have also been deployed in the area.
Authorities are closely coordinating with the local government and other agencies as trail routes continue to be explored to expedite the search for the missing hiker.
