Migrant Workers Committee Chairperson Coco Naik dismissed social media rumors claiming that the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing of the “Cayetano bloc” would be canceled.
Naik, who was present at the venue in Mandaluyong along with supporters of the 18 ex-marines, affirmed that the hearing went ahead as planned.
He continued to call for support for the so-called “brave 18,” who are expected to reveal what they know about the country’s flood control scandal.
Naik described the circulating reports of withdrawal as false, stressing that their commitment to uncovering the truth behind the controversial project and alleged corruption remains firm.
