Senator Robin Padilla will not pursue higher office in the 2028 elections, according to a statement from his office delivered by Samira Gutoc.
Gutoc explained that Padilla’s decision stems from frustration over administrative delays, specifically pointing to a seven-month delay in disbursing government funds for madrasa teachers.
She affirmed that while Padilla declines a 2028 vice-presidential run, he remains committed to his current term and active in relief operations across disaster-affected provinces such as Pampanga and Bulacan.
