The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) renewed its call for salary increases, asserting that the government possesses sufficient fiscal space to fund a ₱50,000 entry-level teacher salary if public funds are managed properly.
ACT Chairperson Ruby Bernardo announced that teacher delegations will lobby Congress on Monday to push for salary standardization legislation.
Bernardo emphasized that structural compensation reform must take priority during National Teachers’ Month celebrations.
