Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy expressed confidence that the 21st City Council will approve the third tranche salary adjustment for local government officials and employees.
During the flag-raising ceremony, Mayor Uy thanked City Budget Officer Atty. Percy G. Salazar for integrating the salary adjustment into Supplemental Budget No. 3 in accordance with Department of Budget and Management (DBM) guidelines.
City hall workers are scheduled to begin receiving their adjusted pay this coming September, pending the passage of the ordinance.
Council approval remains the final step to officially implement the salary standardization rates for local staff.
