Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Eric Salcedo affirmed that enforcing the city transport ordinance is key to supporting 100 percent implementation of the Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP).
Salcedo explained that the measure addresses long-standing complaints from local transport groups regarding provincial routes picking up passengers within city limits.
Under the route adjustments, provincial PUVs coming from eastern routes now terminate at the Agora Terminal, while western routes terminate at the Westbound Terminal in Bulua.
Salcedo acknowledged that route changes inevitably cause minor adjustments for commuters, but assured the public that the LGU is actively working on solutions.
