Successive shooting incidents inside the country’s schools serve as a massive wake-up call for school authorities and local governments to ensure the protection of children.
This was the statement of Professor Christopher Ryan Maboloc of the Ateneo de Davao University, calling for an urgent review and strict implementation of security standards across all schools in the country.
He explained that strict bag inspections and mandatory identification cards are necessary to prevent any evil within campuses.
In light of these events and the resulting anxiety and fear among students, Maboloc urged parents to continue helping protect everyone’s safety.
