A early morning fire broke out at Salcedo Village, Zone 2 in Barangay Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City, injuring two residents and causing an estimated ₱210,000 in property damage.
Kauswagan Fire Station 6 Investigator FO3 Greg Largo reported that the station received the emergency call at 2:47 AM, with firefighters successfully declaring a fire out by 3:08 AM.
A 12-year-old girl sustained first-degree burns to her face and body, while an adult male suffered a sprained left ankle during the incident.
Investigators noted that two two-story houses sustained partial damage, as the flames were largely contained to the second floors. Fire authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the blaze.
