Capt. Rey Valeros Jr., Secretary General of the United People’s Initiative (UPI), declared that rallies in the streets are the only way for people’s voices to be heard amid control of mainstream and social media.
He announced a nationwide indignation rally on July 19 to be held simultaneously in Mindanao, Visayas, and Manila.
Valeros said collective action is needed as the country is already buried in problems, hoping government leaders will listen to the people’s demands.
