While President Ferdinand Marcos Junior delivers his State of the Nation Address this coming Monday, the nation’s labor groups will stage their own State of the Labor Affairs (SOLA).

According to Atty. Sonny Matula, president of the Federation of Free Workers, they will kick off the event with a gathering in Quezon City to deliver their assessment of the labor sector’s condition after years under the current administration.

Furthermore, he urged the government to rectify wages nationwide and abolish illegal contracting schemes such as the “555 scheme” and “Endo” (end of contract) through rigorous inspections.

Aside from this, he pointed out that focus must be given to soaring consumer prices and the absolute eradication of corruption in the country.
