Liberal Youth Northern Mindanao Chairman Andre Josol highlighted improper firearm storage by gun owners as a primary contributor to recent school shooting incidents in Zamboanga and South Cotabato involving minor perpetrators.
Citing Commission on Audit (COA) data showing that only 39 percent of public schools possess active security guards or working CCTV systems, Josol urged parents to secure household firearms to safeguard students.
