The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) affirmed that its operations in the West Philippine Sea will not be delayed despite rising fuel prices.
AFP Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad, emphasized that these missions are part of their sworn mandate and must continue, particularly in safeguarding the country’s maritime territory.
He added that while awaiting further directives from General Headquarters, the military will sustain patrols and maritime domain awareness activities.
The AFP will also press on with other operations related to national security.
