Reverend Monsignor Lex Legitimas, PC, chairman of the board of directors of the House of Hope Foundation, affirmed that the institution continues to provide services despite inadequate facilities.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Msgr. Legitimas shared that the foundation has resumed operations after years of halted support from the city government, but the building now requires major rehabilitation.
Currently, the facility is staffed with eight nurses, two psychiatrists, as well as psychologists and occupational therapists serving patients. However, they face difficulties as more patients wait for admission while the center already accommodates over 50 individuals.
He added that the foundation is actively seeking support to improve the building, including the construction of an isolation hall and waiting area, which are essential for operations.
While significant improvements have already been made, efforts continue to strengthen the facility and meet permit requirements.
