The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) has placed all its personnel on full alert following recent unrest in the capital, which could potentially trigger a rise in crime and unlawful activities in urban areas.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Captain Emilita Simon, spokesperson of COCPO, assured the public that the police force is fully prepared to serve and protect the people of Cagayan de Oro.
She emphasized that all COCPO personnel and station units are now fully accountable and remain vigilant in monitoring the city’s security situation.
Captain Simon also urged residents to stay cautious and avoid spreading or believing unverified information, especially fake news circulating online. She reminded the public to rely only on legitimate media outlets and official social media pages for accurate and trustworthy updates.
