Estimated structural damage reached ₱600,000 after a fire broke out in Cedar, Barangay Camaman-an yesterday morning.
According to Barangay Kagawad Alicia Cabili, 19 houses were totally damaged while three were partially damaged. A total of 138 individuals were affected by the incident and are now being assisted by the barangay and housed in tents.
Cabili reported that a 19-year-old young man lost his life after attempting to rescue two children from the fire but was electrocuted by a live wire.
She appealed to those who wish to help to directly extend assistance at the Camaman-an Covered Court.
