Former Provincial Administrator Atty. Angel Lim gave President Ferdinand Marcos Jr’s recent State of the Nation Address the lowest possible rating, saying it offered little to no benefit for the people.
Lim criticized the speech as mere rhetoric and wishful thinking, stressing that instead of addressing scandals in flood control and corruption, individuals who attempted to investigate were even jailed.
On governance, Lim asserted that the administration has taken no direct action to resolve the surging prices of basic commodities and fuel, which continue to inflict hardship on ordinary citizens.
He expressed deep sympathy for the public, lamenting that there seems to be no government genuinely standing up for their rights and welfare.
These accusations highlight the growing discontent and eroding trust among citizens toward the current leadership. I
n the end, Lim underscored that the people are still waiting for concrete government action to ease the relentless rise in prices and the worsening economic crisis.
