While local operators plan to roll out Hail PH e-taxis in October or November, CAFITADA asserts that Green GSM’s current operations violate transport regulations.
CAFITADA President Bernie Jamaca stated the foreign firm is breaching provisions of the EVIDA Act, which mandates prioritizing local transport operators who have served the city for over 30 years.
Jamaca clarified that local drivers accept the phase-out of internal combustion engine vehicles and support fleet modernization for cleaner air.
However, because the foreign operator bypassed local public consultations, CAFITADA will submit a formal complaint and petition to the LTFRB National Office for immediate intervention.
