Following the issuance of a non-bailable arrest warrant against former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Ateneo de Davao University Professor Dr. Christopher Maboloc urged judicial authorities to enforce standard detention protocols rather than medical confinement.
Dr. Maboloc noted that in the absence of verified, severe medical conditions, formal detention must be executed to uphold equal justice under the law.
