Cagayan de Oro City Jail Female Dormitory Warden Mary Rose Paçana announced updated facility operational plans and additional water storage allocations to manage extreme seasonal heat within inmate cells.
Paçana explained that proactive water conservation measures prevent heat-related health complications among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) and correctional staff.
She added that jail authorities are coordinating with the Bureau of Fire Protection and local stakeholders to secure supplementary water deliveries.
