Election lawyer Ramil Acol, City Election Officer for the second district of Cagayan de Oro, announced that there will be no extension of voter registration for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (BSK) Elections this November.
He said, the schedule is already set by law and Comelec resolutions, and cannot be changed.
Those who missed the cut‑off yesterday and only decided to register now will have to wait until 2027 to register for the 2028 elections.
Acol clarified that on the final day, the Comelec accepted registrations only and did not issue other services such as voter certifications.
He added that preparations continue for the upcoming elections on November 2, while the Comelec will resume its regular services, including the issuance of certifications.
