Bencyrus Ellorin, Chairperson of Pinoy Aksyon, strongly emphasized the importance of upgrading the nation through continuous modernization and technological advancement.
However, he pointed out that while Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly entering the fields of industrialization and the digital economy, the country should not remain merely a “user” of AI tools.
Ellorin insisted that the Philippines must become an active participant in the global value chain to help drive local economic growth.
Despite the push toward modern technology, he reminded that this progress must be carefully balanced.
Ellorin also warned that social and environmental safeguards should never be sacrificed just to achieve development.
