Senate Pro Tempore Chairman Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson stood firm on the released ‘draft partial report’ of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, which recommended further “fact-finding inquiry” against former House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.

According to Lacson, although the former speaker’s name is often mentioned in connection with flood control anomalies, there is still a lack of strong corroborative evidence compared to other officials.

Lacson added that other officials involved in the anomaly have clear evidence from witnesses, including DPWH officials.

It was learned that Romualdez’s name was once again dragged into controversy following allegations that he purchased an expensive house and lot in South Forbes Park, Makati City through contractor couple Discaya.
