The Palace joined the Department of National Defense, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and Department of Foreign Affairs in denouncing the China Coast Guard’s aggressive actions at Ayungin Shoal.
The DFA stressed that any form of harm or harassment against Filipinos is unacceptable and must be addressed through diplomatic channels. Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. does not want such incidents to occur between China and the Philippines.
The government emphasized the need to safeguard national interests while pursuing peaceful resolution.
Officials reiterated that protecting Filipino dignity and sovereignty remains a top priority.
