Atty. Franklin M. Quijano of PDP Laban Iligan City expressed concern over the overall state of governance in the country, citing the administration’s alleged lack of attention to pressing issues.

He said the president and those in power seem to be failing to provide adequate solutions to the struggles of the people, especially those in the lower sectors.

Despite the existence of separation of powers among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, Quijano noted the imbalance in government functions.

He reminded the public of the looming threat of a “silent” or “creeping martial law” that is gradually eroding the nation’s freedom.
