Atty. Jojo Lacanilao, convenor of the Duterte Panagutin Campaign Network Movement, noted that most remain uncertain about the Senate’s next steps after it convened yesterday as an impeachment court.

According to him, the political climate is unpredictable, shifting day by day.

Lacanilao observed that the current Senate majority is largely composed of allies of Vice President Sara Duterte, many of whom have already expressed their positions.

On the other hand, Senator Robin Padilla has long declared his opposition to any impeachment, maintaining his stance as part of the opposition.

For Lacanilao, this mix of declared loyalties and firm opposition makes it difficult to determine which position will ultimately prevail in the Senate.
