The 4th Infantry Diamond Division (4ID) has recorded a significant reduction in armed groups within its area of responsibility since January 2025.
According to Major General Michelle Anayron, Commanding General of 4ID, the Caraga Region saw a drop from 95 armed groups to just 8.
In the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee, which covers Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, and parts of Agusan provinces, only 18 groups remain.
From 44 high‑value individuals identified at the start of the year, only 11 are still being pursued and persuaded to abandon the armed struggle.
Anayron noted that some members are believed to have hidden their weapons and left the mountains, prompting continued monitoring of their possible whereabouts.
In a recent clash in San Miguel, Surigao del Sur, three rebels were killed while one surrendered to government troops.
Anayron emphasized that 4ID operations will persist until the remaining armed groups are dismantled and peace in the region is strengthened.
